A private individual

Everyone a stakeholder in climate change

Information for private individuals

Here in France each individual is responsible for an average of 9 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. To prevent climate change from hurtling further out of control, we need to reduce by three-quarters our CO2 emissions by 2050. It is therefore important to reduce our individual greenhouse gas emissions. Since simple actions are capable of halving our greenhouse gas emissions, every single action counts! The main sources of "domestic" greenhouse gas emissions are household heating and car travel.
